This decision followed an intensive pitch process that began with an initial selection round where 11 parties were evaluated, followed by a Request For Proposal round with 4 companies. The White and Yellow Cross is a home nursing organisation that is provincially organised with a national federation. With 133,794 patients in 2023, 15,209,048 home visits, and a total of 11,389,430 care days, the White and Yellow Cross positions itself as the market leader in home nursing in Flanders.

The White and Yellow Cross consists of five provincial associations. The national federation advocated for the interests of these autonomous NPOs. Across the five provincial associations, there are 6,831 employees or 5,078 full-time equivalents working.
